Our Vision
A just, equitable, and inclusive society where every individual—regardless of identity, status, or background—enjoys full protection of their inherent human rights under the rule of law.
Key Achievements
Over the decades, the Pakistan Institute of Human Rights (PIHR) has played a foundational role in shaping the legal, institutional, and human rights landscape of Pakistan , contributing to global jurisprudence and advocacy.
Established in 1972, the Pakistan Institute of Human Rights (PIHR) is one of the most historic and respected institutions in South Asia dedicated to advancing universal human dignity, justice, and the rule of law. Founded by an extraordinary assembly of legal visionaries—including Barrister Dr. Javaid Iqbal Jafree, Barrister Qamar Abbas, and former Attorneys General of the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia—PIHR was conceived as a global-standard platform for legal reform, advocacy, and the defense of human rights.
