Global & Local Advocacy for Human Rights Implementation
As both a national institution and a globally engaged actor, PIHR is uniquely positioned to connect local realities with international human rights standards. We advocate for the full implementation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and related international conventions within Pakistan’s legal and institutional frameworks.
Our team contributes to UN treaty body submissions, Universal Periodic Reviews, and civil society reports that reflect Pakistan’s human rights landscape. We translate international legal obligations into actionable domestic frameworks and support efforts to harmonize local laws with global norms.
Simultaneously, we engage with grassroots movements, bar associations, and local governance bodies to ensure that human rights principles are not confined to diplomatic corridors but are felt in everyday life. PIHR’s advocacy is anchored in a two-way dialogue: we amplify community concerns on global platforms and bring back international accountability mechanisms to support local enforcement.
